Caller ID
Caller ID lets you to know who's calling before you answer a call. When your phone rings, Caller ID shows the telephone number of the calling party on your phone's display. Take important calls and let voice mail handle the rest.
Using Caller ID
Your phone should come with Caller ID already activated. There are no special instructions to use Caller ID—when someone calls, the name and number will automatically appear on your phone's display.
Caller ID Block
AT&T offers two kinds of Caller ID Block depending upon your needs.
- Caller ID Block: All Calls—This option allows wireless callers to block both their name and number on all calls. Fees may apply.
- Caller ID Block: Per Call—This option allows wireless callers to block both their name and number on a per-call basis, so you can choose who sees your information.
Dial 611 from your wireless phone, or call 1-800-331-0500 to purchase this feature where available.
Availability
Caller ID is provided, where available, from the local telephone company. Caller ID works in many of the cities where you may roam. However, these features may not be available in some locations. You may need to contact the local telephone company for more information.
Calling Name Delivery
Calling Name Delivery allows a landline customer's Caller ID to receive your mobile name and number.
Calling Name Block
Block your name (but not your number) from appearing to landline customers by enabling AT&T's Calling Name Block feature. This feature is free of charge. To enable this feature:
Online: Log in or register to My Account. Go to Manage Your Account. In the Mobile Information Rate Plan Section, go to Add Features, and select the feature Calling Name Block.
By phone: Dial 611 from your wireless phone, or call 1-800-331-0500.
